knock before entering
this building appears to have a more open door policy
this old lock was on a door resting in the middle of an old dirt road

there are still bits of color to be found, blues, greens and even purple, although all of it very faded

Many of the buildings have been destroyed by fire, while others are still fighting a losing battle with the elements. Elvis was at Fort Chaffee back in his army days. If I remember correctly, he got his first army haircut at Chaffee. Many barracks were also temporary homes to victims of hurricane Katrina.
Lots of history. And definitely somewhat haunting to explore these remnants. I only braved entering one building. Inside I found a very old toy wagon among other items left behind.
